As a blogger over the years, I’ve mostly been consistent with my content and the types of things I’ve written about. If you look through my blog archives the vast majority of my posts are either book or travel orientated- which is great, I love travel and books more than I love most things. In spite of that, I found myself putting less and less time to one side to actually blog and write about my passions. At first, I thought that the inevitable had finally happened- I’d gotten too old for blogging and my heart wasn’t in it anymore. I actually found that something else was the case, deciding to take the time to sit down and re-evaluate everything about my blog and see if it made a difference to my attitude towards it – part of my plan to be productive, actually paying off. I’m happy to say that it did – and here’s why; with a little help from Theia London.
I realised that it wasn’t blogging itself that I’d fallen out of love with- having a space on the internet to call my own is great, and knowing that people read and enjoy what I write is always lovely to know- but that I’d fallen out with the topic that I was blogging about. Now, don’t get me wrong – I love reading. It is and will always be the thing that I do whenever I need to chill out.
Writing about books and being part of book tours started out being so exciting for me. I did it for five years and in this time have been part of more tours than I can remember. I’ve made amazing connections with publicists and authors and I’m so happy that I did it. However, I’m 26 years old. I’ve grown up a lot in the last few years and my interests have changed. My love of fashion and style is something that has flourished over the last 5 years and my confidence along with it. Having this extra dash of confidence has allowed me to explore fashion in a way that I wasn’t able to previously and part of this has been rediscovering the items of clothing that I love so much – and getting rid of the stuff that allowed me to blend right into the background.
Before I went away on holiday, new wardrobe all packed into my suitcase, I recieved a whole host of amazing pairs of sunglasses from the up-and-coming brand Theia London (you might have seen their glasses on this (and last) year’s Love Island). They’re becoming a bit of a force to be reckoned with and their sunglasses are absolutely gorgeous. I’ve discussed body confidence on my blog before and I’ve never really been the most confident when it comes to being on the beach or by the pool and I must admit that these gorgeous glasses gave me a little bit of added confidence – and something to hide behind when the going got a little bit tough.
I’ve always been quite fussy when it comes to choosing and wearing sunglasses so Theia London is an absolute godsend. With so many different styles available on their website, there really is a pair of glasses for every face shape, no matter your taste. The ones I’m wearing here were limited edition and aren’t available on their website any more, but these stunning silver Popi glasses are really close in style and are perfect for people who have a teeny tiny head like I do. If mirrored glasses are more your cup of tea, then their Rhea sunglasses come with either black or gold frames and have different coloured lenses – versatile and stylish, no matter what you’re pairing them with. I didn’t feel QUITE cool enough to pull them off but give me a few months and I’ll be rockin’ them like the rest of ya.
It’s nice to be able to purchase from a brand and know that you’re getting both good value for money and good quality wear – fashion sunglasses are a market where you know that the style is forever changing and keeping up with the current trends can be costly. Theia London, with its wide range of glasses, provides you with the products to keep on trend but also are well-priced, meaning that it doesn’t break the bank to do so. I can’t wait to have another little nosy on their website in the coming months and stock up my sunglasses collection for the end of summer – ready to show off when we go on our next little adventure.
Have you checked out Theia London yet? Which frames are you loving?
